Cairns Bullion is proud to present the 2024 2oz Alicanto Silver Antiqued Coloured Coin in Presentation Case. A large, magical bird in Chilean mythology, the Alicanto is said to inhabit outcrops in the Atacama Desert where it devours the region’s rich deposits of gold and silver. As a result, its plumage emits golden or silvery light during the night.
Coin Highlights:
- Contains 2oz of 9999 Fine Silver
- Housed in an illustrated dislay case with a unique keyhole design to view the gold and silver particles floating in the Perspex dome, all visible without having to open the case.
- Accompanied by numbered certificate of authenticity.

The obverse: Portrays an artistic representation of the Alicanto with a glistening gold-coloured eye, and a silvery head, wings and tail tinged with gold. The striking backdrop captures a gold-coloured moon amid desert mountains featuring a timeless antiqued treatment for added vintage charm, and includes a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
The reverse: Depicts the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and a circular pattern bounded by the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination, and 2024 year-date.
