1kg Sunshine Silver Minted Bar

Sunshine Minting Inc. (SMI) is one of the USA’s largest private refiners of precious metals. Headquartered in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, surrounded by large silver mine deposits, SMI is the primary supplier of silver blanks to the United States Mint as well as countless other international mints. The obverse of the 1kg bar features the Sunshine Mint’s striking logo including the American symbol for freedom – a bald eagle soaring through the air surrounded by rays of sunlight. Underneath the logo includes the purity, metal type and weight of the bar.

The bar’s reverse design features a repeating pattern of the basic sunshine logo on a 45 degree angle behind the mint's Scrambled Indicia security feature, an exclusive to the Sunshine Mint. The micro-engravement of the Mint Mark SI feature is only visible with a patented decoding lens.
